Week 1, Assignment 1b

Hello All,
Paulo Freire was a very successful man. He had many great accomplishments in his life, both personally and professionally. Here are three things that I though were important in Freire's life.

1. In 1946, he was appointed Director of Pernambuco Department of Education and Culture os SESI, which is a goverment agency, funded by a national confederation of factory owners for the betterment of the standard of living of their workers.

2. Was admitted into leagal law, but never practice it. Instead, he became a teacher and taught Portuguese in a secondary school where he later met his wife and mother to his five children.

3. His first book, Education as the Practice of Freedom, was published in, 1967.
